Our Sand Hill Elementary students, better known as "The Hornets", are buzzing with excitement about learning.  We are highly focused on literacy and mathematics instruction in order to provide our students with a solid foundation for future success.  Sand Hill Elementary (SHES) offers a comprehensive curriculum that enhances learning for ALL students in order to prepare them to be life-long learners in an ever-changing society.  Our staff is committed to making every moment count because every student matters. We prepare using the most current and up-to-date methods for teaching and assessing students.  This has led to school-wide trainings and implementation of Balanced Literacy, Data Teams 2.0, and Visible Learning into our strategies for fostering students's creative and analytical thinking.   In addition to our rigorous core instruction, our teachers and support staff strive to meet the needs of all students by using supplemental researched-based interventions.  We are also very proud to provide our students with extracurriculuar opportunities that encompass many different areas.
